Grace Hospital Mental Health Unit Redevelopment

Marrbeck Construction worked with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and the Grace Hospital to renovate the fifth floor of the Grace Hospital to accommodate a twenty-one bed mental health facility.

This project involved the complete renovation of the fifth floor (+/-14,000 ft²) in order to accommodate a twenty-one bed mental health facility. The work included for complete demolition of existing finishes, mechanical and electrical services. New infrastructure included for new mechanical, sprinkler and electrical systems as well as structural improvements to support specialty medical equipment such as head walls and patient lift systems. Architectural finishes included new nursing stations, flooring, millwork and wall and door protection as well as an integrated nurse call system. Extensive hoarding and infection control measures were required for this project.
